Hi George, thank you so much for reaching out to school to share your story, experience and words with us all. I don’t know how you’ve done it but you’ve managed to capture the heartbreaking beauty amidst the pain. I’ve just started a journey with anticipatory grief with my mum and although it’s very different, i’ve found so much comfort in reading what you’ve written. Sending you all love and prayers, Abi

I was also brought here through the school email and, on reading your beautiful but incredibly sad words, I just wanted to say how sorry I am to hear about all you’ve been through and continue to go through, George. Sending much strength to you and your family. You are all in my thoughts. Olivia

Hi George. School emails are definitely sending a few more lost connections your way... I don't know if it helps, really, to know more of us are thinking of you, and your family, and reading your words, and sending our thoughts - but in case it does, we are. I am. Your love for your wife, your family - what a celebration of that love you are sharing here. And how seen your words make others feel, those who are going through their own coping. So thank you, for the generous impulse to share, even while experiencing the unimaginable. Sending a breath of grace and warmth to you all. You are not alone in the dark either. Abbi x

Thank you Abbi - it helps hugely and so I'm grateful to you for reading my words, holding us in your thoughts and taking the time to write. To see and be seen, to bear witness, to be alongside; such simple yet powerful and precious gestures. With every hand that reaches out I feel less alone. So thank you for yours. x
