I was in here the other morning and there was no one else here.

All I could hear were the birds and it was so peaceful.

.

That sounds lovely.

.

It was.

And then I met Sarah for coffee afterwards.

.

Oh how is she?

.

Well Michael has taken up karate.

.

Really?

.

Yes and apparently he does it every night now.

.

Every night?

.

For two hours. And then he goes to the pub afterwards. He doesn’t come home until 9.30 some nights. And he expects Sarah to do it all, the kids, the dinner.

.

Oh dear.

I saw Mary yesterday in the playground and her Alan is now away two weeks out of every month.

I couldn’t do it.

.

On her own with the two kids.

I do two nights a week and that’s enough for me.

.

She’s going away for a night on her own this weekend.

.

I don’t blame her.

How’s David doing?

.

I don’t know.

He’s not happy I know that.

.

Wasn’t he thinking about retraining?

.

He hates his job.

But it would cost about ten grand to do the coding course he was looking at.

He spent a whole weekend researching it then said to me why I am even thinking about this - I’d be so bored doing this every day.

.

Do you think he’s depressed?
